So you all have probably been wondering what has been going on with the server. Well....we are having someport forwarding issues. We are doing our best on getting it back up ASAP. If you have any questions, comment below. Thank you for being patient with us.
Since the server has no
owner at the moment and no one has been selected by Indi, to be ready for or
experienced enough to be CC's full Owner. CC staff will run off of these
guidelines, think of it like a Constitution or a document to guide our staff to
getting things done and moving the server forward. It will state on how each
staff member/rank power works and who is in leadership type positions.
Voting: Each Staff
Member gets a certain amount of votes for whichever rank they are at, you can
see the vote count below. Voting will be used to bring up ideas and whether or
not to implement them. However there will be leadership to bring up ideas to a
vote and set the time and day for when there will be staff meetings. There must
be at least one staff meeting a week, if things don't work out for whatever
reasons it is understandable; but making up the meeting is very important.
Since voting can and will only be done on specific times, when everyone knows
that voting will be done or ideas/discussions will be made. So staff meeting
days would be best.
Owner: 4 votes
Master Admin: 4 votes
Note: Even if you are
Chief of Staff or Officer of Staff your voting power comes from your actual
staff rank not your title
1-Must be at least 60% of the staff
present (this actually means staff not total votes) for a vote to be made
2-Ideas can be brought up at any time,
but the Chief of Staff will decide to call the idea to a vote or not unless the
Officer of Staff and a majority of the staff (At least 51% of total votes)
wants it to be called to a vote.
3-Ideas can be anything from promoting a
staff member, demoting a staff member, adding a plugin, removing a plugin, adding
a world/removing a world, anything that has to do with affecting the server in
4-Voting must be done in a separate chat,
so Indi can review any voting procedures, if necessary. General discussion can be
done in main chat but voting chat should also be used for voting discussion.
(So not just I say yes, or no, the actual discussion for what is being voted on
and what are the arguments/points would be best)
5-BIGGEST RULE!!!! Every idea passed must
be sent to Indiana Block - The President of CCGC/CC Minecraft Server (via email
is best, skype is worst, phone if you got my number, Facebook is good to, steam
can work as well) for either his approval or veto of the idea. If the idea is
vetoed, the Council can re-vote but must have 80% of the total votes or
majority of votes to overturn Indi's decision.
6-A vote for a member to be promoted to
Owner/Master Admin must have a majority of 80% of the total votes and Indi’s
7-Any ranked member of Staff can become
Chief of Staff or Officer of Staff
President of CCGC: Indiana is and will most likely always be in charge of
the Community therefore his one power is to veto any idea that he disapproves
of; to make sure the well-being of CC can always be in the hands of Indi if
need be. Although Indi can veto, this is his only power; except emergency
powers; his emergency powers will only be used in the case of the entire
Council or a majority of the Council; causing problems and nothing is being
done to fix it. Basically major staff changes would be made.
Chief of Staff: they are in a sense the main leader of the
staff/server; keeping the staff orderly and making sure stuff is actually being
done; like the sever running smoothly
Powers they hold: Set day/time for staff
meetings -Can call an idea to a vote or decide not to, unless one of the rules
applies to the vote (rule 2) -Is in charge of staff doing their job -In charge
of server actives and checking if they are being properly executed. As well the
checking if the server is running smoothly -Putting staff members in charge of
How they can lose their power: They may
only lose their power if 60% of the votes or the majority of the votes agrees
to give the job to someone else, and only the Officer of Staff calls the
leadership change up to a vote. However, if the Officer of Staff wishes to be
the new Chief of Staff he must be supported by 60% of the votes or the majority
of the votes & the Chief of Staff
Officer of Staff: they are the 2nd in command of the Staff; helping the
Chief with all the duties of the server and Chief’s duties.
Powers: -May Call a vote to change the
Chief of Staff -Can help moderator/administrate projects being done by staff
members -Becomes Chief of Staff when the Chief of Staff ask for time off or
can't attend the staff votes/meetings -They may only appoint a new Officer of
Staff if the Chief of Staff asks for long-term leave
-How they lose their power: Can only lose
their power if the Chief puts it up for a vote; for the leadership change, and
there must be 60% of the votes or the majority of the votes; for the change to
happen. At this point the chief may appoint a new Officer.
Staff Council Members: They are in a sense the representatives/senators of
the server; they listen to what players want/suggest, brining ideas to the
table and doing the jobs appointed to them by the leadership
Power: There Only power is the power of
their vote, they may bring up ideas but can't force a vote unless (Rule 2)
applies to the situation -There voting power comes from server rank, so they can
only gain power by being promoted by the rest of the Staff Council of CC
How they lose their power: Only way to
lose their power is by being demoted by the rest of the Council (rule 3)
The entire purpose of this system is to make no one person in staff
become too powerful or abuse their power. It should be a family environment but
there must be leadership and discussions/changes being made to keep the server
up to date and moving forward. Even if an Owner is voted in, this system will
be kept in place until Indi decides whether or not it is needed anymore. These
guidelines will be the base on which the manner of the server is run, who runs
it, who the leadership is, and what changes are being made and can be made to
Guideline/Constitution is now in order and in place, and by the declaration of
Indi; the first Chief of Staff will be Hearts and the first Officer of Staff
will be First.
Just mentioning some updates regarding the server and community:
1. I just want to mention a bit about the whitelist situation going on. First of all, we ARE aiming to unwhitelist permanently, eventually. Because of a few experiences with test runs, we whitelisted again until we are more prepared for trolls. We are getting more prepared with things like better language filters, an autorank system that helps with security, etc. Also, we are stocking up on more staff to help out too. Plus, the admins are working on fixing all the technical issues we know of before the unwhitelist.
2. Indi IS taking a break, however, when he gets back he will be called "President", meaning, he will basically be the main community manager and won't be doing administrative stuff regarding the server. Doc (The_Doctor_10th) will be the permanent owner as long as the test run goes well.
3. Also, as some of you can tell, we gained and lost a lot of staff. But we have it all fixed and the new staff are happy to be here! Staff update:

4. Lastly, Skyblock is back! ALOT of you guys were asking why we removed it. It wasn't going to be gone forever, so we chose to bring it back and its a lot better!
5. I have added a few things to the website:
- "Get Whitelisted" tab for easier access to the forum where you post your whitelist application
- "Teamspeak" tab for information on the Teamspeak server
- "Staff" tab for a updated page of the current CCGC staff members
Lately, my fellow Admins and I have been working on the newly revised Donor, VIP, and VIP+ ranks. We have been removing all in-game abilities (Special Perks). We do not want to do this but Mojang (The creator of Minecraft) says that it is not right for people to donate and get special in-game perks. HOWEVER: You can still donate! Just please remember that you will only be getting commands that do not affect gameplay! /nick and /hat will NOT be removed as far as I know due to that they do not affect gameplay.
This has confused a lot of players and that is not entirely a bad thing. Its great to ask questions, to learn something new! But please, hear us out. We are not responsible for these changes. It doesn't matter how much you beg, complain, etc. We could be sued and shut down if we do not follow these rules by law.
Here are some questions that you guys asked:
User: I am just a tad bit confused with what your saying, are you saying that only new donations will not get those special perks? Or will everyone, even old vip's donors and vip+ get the perks taken away?
Staff Member: Some perks will be taken away, but not all. We are trying to abide by the EULA agreements the best we can while trying to give out perks to the donors+ who have paid valuable money to keep this server running.
User: So i cant do /fly ,/speed, /d, and not 20 sethomes!?
User: Other servers that I am staff on, as far as I know, are NOT removing paid rank perks, and if they were they would give the donators in-game items because they have paid REAL money for their Rank/Perks
Staff Member: Here is the thing: Mojang decided to change the way things go so we have to obey that because Mojang is the boss when it comes to their game. We don't want to disobey. We are Christians and that means we try to do as Jesus did. Jesus obeyed the laws unless they went against God's laws. I have looked over them and they don't say a thing that is unbibcal so we will obey them. If you disagree then I am sorry, but we will obey.
Staff Member: If we do not do this... we could potentionally be shut down and sued. Mojang wasn't strict on this before but they said: Maybe we would have to get our Lawyers in touch, which means that they WILL sue us if we violate the EULA
User: Does this mean /back will no longer be available?
Staff Member: All current commands for Donors, VIP's, and VIP+'s will be the same. The only difference is the of sethomes. The only difference is that elites will get 20 sethomes now. This only has to do with paid ranks.
User: What about earned ranks? For instance, would an Elite Legend still have /fly?
Staff Member: Like Staff has said, this only has to do with paid ranks.
I hope this post clears up some of the confusion surrounding these changes. So, what is next? Remember, this is NOT our choice. YOU CAN STILL DONATE! Also, we have a misunderstanding of what is being removed. Commands like: /fly, /speed, /wb, /enderchest WILL BE REMOVED DUE TO IT EFFECTS GAMEPLAY!Commands like: /nick WILL NOT BE REMOVED BECAUSE THEY DO NOT EFFECT GAMEPLAY! **/FLY AND OTHER PERKS LIKE IT WILL NOT BE REMOVED DUE TO THAT THEY ARE NOT DONOR RANKS!**
REMEMBER: You can still donate and we can still give you a rank, with extra perms like /nick and a prefix. We cannot give you commands that effect gameplay like: /fly, /speed, etc. I am sorry that I didn't do a good job explaining this the first time.
Yes, we can still promote! User promotions are still allowed. These changes will not apply until sometime around late July/early August. **Perks will not be removed until new EULA rules are approved**

Ok, so our server is experiencing some problems. Everyone is in a void. I am trying to fix this problem but at the moment THE SERVER IS DOWN. Please be patient, as I said, I am trying to resolve this problem. IF YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM PLEASE: Log out of your account. Next, quit your minecraft game (COMPLETELY). Load it back up, and sign in (Then join the server, etc.).
IF THIS DOESNT WORK, PLEASE DO: (Reinstall your game) This may not work, depending on your case. Once again, our staff members are trying to handle this. Thank you :)
